ENSREG SMRs Task Force Dashboard

In November 2024, the ENSREG plenary meeting took the decision to establish a Task Force on SMRs (TF). The goals of this SMR TF are to collect lessons and good practices with early reviews and pre-assessment of specific SMR-designs and technologies by EU regulators, to interact with the European Industrial Alliance on SMRs and to identify regulatory challenges to be further addressed.

The 55^th meeting of European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) took place on 28 November 2024 in Brussels. 21 EU MS were represented. ENSREG welcomed new members representing Belgium, Estonia, France, Italy, Latvia and Luxembourg.

More than 125 experts from 22 European countries representing nuclear installation licensee organisations, national regulatory authorities, technical expert groups, international organisations, as well as the European Commission and observer countries gathered together at the ENSREG Topical Peer Review Country Review workshop on ‘Fire Protection’ at nuclear installations, taking place this week (30 September - 3 October 2024) in Luxembourg).
