Belarus Stress Test Final Report [1]

By joining the Joint Declaration on comprehensive risk and safety assessments of nuclear plants (stress tests) in June 2011 (1), Belarus has confirmed its  willingness to undertake  on a voluntary basis comprehensive risk and safety assessments ('stress tests'), taking into account the specifications agreed by the European Commission and the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) on 24 May 2011. This cooperation is currently under way and Belarus has presented to the EU its national stress tests report on the Ostrovets Nuclear Power Plant for a peer review led by an international team of EU regulators, which will take place in 2018.

The EU Stress Test peer review process to be conducted in Belarus in the coming months will not deviate from past stress test exercises and will be performed in full transparency according to the "principle for openness and transparency" as adopted by ENSREG in February 2011 (2).

According to this principle, the Belarus national stress test report, core element of the upcoming peer review, is published on the ENSREG Website and open for public consultation from Monday 13th November 2017 to Friday 13th January 2018.
